Based on the Apollinaire play and composed during the second world war, this opera is a riotous hour long journey which follows Thérèse as she lets her breasts fly away and becomes Tirésias. What follows is a surreal journey involving flying fish, an amorous gendarme, dancing corpses, singing babies, and the final admonition for the audience to ‘go out and multiply!’
