A tragic comment on misunderstanding and social pressures, Verdi’s powerhouse opera tells the story of Violetta – the fallen woman of the title – and her tumultuous relationship with Alfredo Germont. This new production, directed by Arin Arbus, will in future play Canadian Opera Company and Houston Grand Opera.
